All in all, I would say you were helpful, always available if I had questions and needs, and ready to follow up with more suggestions. I appreciate the fact that you did not charge me phone time or follow up fees as many decorators do.

When I moved to the Farmington Valley. I suddenly had a big house with big rooms for the first time – and no idea what to do with them. I know enough about decorating to know that I needed help, immediately! Luckily, I found Judy, who is both excellent at what she does and so much fun to spend time with.

On Judy’s first visit, we toured the whole house and she rattled off terrific suggestions for furniture placement throughout. As soon as she left I started rearranging things according to her suggestions, and the house immediately began looking more “done” and less “disaster.” Soon afterward she helped me choose wonderful colors for all the rooms on the first floor of the house, including a painstaking effort in the living room, where variable light and a tricky sofa color posed a challenge. Judy even recommended a painter who has since done all the painting in the house.

After a number of months here, we were able to plan a remodel for our extremely dated and drab kitchen. Not having remodeled much before, we were fairly intimidated and worried about making bad decisions. Judy saved us here again – we ended up using a contractor she suggested, and whenever I met with the firm’s designer, Judy came along too and offered her input, which was invaluable. She kept tabs on progress throughout the remodel, even phoning the contractor herself at times. She also was a lifesaver when it came time to settle on the details, including meeting me for a good long session at a local tile shop, where we carefully matched up products with samples of the other materials to be used in the kitchen. The end result is a kitchen that is both beautiful and comfortable, and feels very “me” while still looking sophisticated. The color scheme and design flow beautifully into the adjoining rooms, thanks to Judy’s input.

The first floor of our house is now so lovely that I can’t wait to get to work on the upstairs – but only if Judy will come help me!

Judy has been a wonderful resource! She is wise and was very sensitive to my needs.

My bathroom had been my nemesis since we moved into the house. I watched as Judy turned and scanned the room—several seconds later we had the beginnings of the plan to make the bathroom a beautiful and functional place to relax in our big soaking tub.

Next, we went into the kitchen. I loved it, but it lacked personality. Again sensitive to my tastes and needs, Judy came up with a simple solution that I had completely missed. Thank you Judy!!

Last and probably most importantly, soon after Judy helped me to bring out the full beauty and potential of our newly built home, we had our home appraised for the second time in a year. My husband and I were stunned when, in an economy where the values of homes were falling, our home's value increased by $10,000!!!
